The 28th edition of the SCaT 2019 India Tradeshow, easily India’s largest and most comprehensive Cable TV & Broadband trade event, is set to roll out across three days from 14th to 16th October 2019, and will host more than 200 companies and brands, displaying and demonstrating more than 3,000 products and services, all targeted exclusively at Indian MSOs, LCO, ISPs & VNOs. It will be held at the World Trade Complex at Cuffe Parade in Mumbai and will span 7 halls at 2 different locations within the complex. Admission is free for registered and walkin visitors to attend.

The 28th edition of SCat India 2019 is set to be the single most significant collection of Cable TV & Broadband distribution stakeholders in India and APAC after the rollout of TRAI’s NTO which has been criticised across the spectrum of all stakeholders, and has actually witnessed a drastic drop in both, regular consumption and even occasional sampling of TV channels by consumers across the length and breadth of India.

The agenda of SCat 2019, though, is to provide the opportunity for networking, product and services demonstrations and more  to enable business growth in the distribution space for Cable TV and Broadband stakeholders, who will be able to see and compare several thousand Cable TV & Broadband products, essential to maintaining and upgrading their networks.

SCAT 2019 Trade Show

BROADBAND

Today, broadband delivery is far more lucrative than Cable TV distribution. Unlike pay channels that must be procured only from the specific broadcaster, internet bandwidth is a commodity that can be procured from the lowest cost source. Further, wired / fibre broadband provides significantly higher profit margins and monthly revenues than cable TV. As a result, most Cable TV networks have commenced independent GPON based broadband networks, operating either as licensed ISPs or VNOs.

With the launch of JioGigaFiber, existing broadband networks are being rapidly upgraded to deliver at least 100 Mbps via FTTH. In view of the large demand, SCaT 2019 will have many companies showcasing their latest GPON products and solutions.

Broadband products widely available at SCaT 2019 will include switches, OLT, O&U, Gigabit switches, Managed switches, Cable Modems etc.

To optimise high speed delivery of content to customers and reduce bandwidth cost. Exhibitors will also be offering peering & caching solutions that can be installed by broadband networks.

Several exhibitors will offer a complete turn key solution including installation and commissioning.

More than 50 networking companies & brands are exhibiting at SCaT 2019. These include Optilink (B-24 & 25), Mehta Infocom (C-9), and several others. Many of these companies offer complete system design and installation support.
