In an interesting and large-sized publicity initiative, Seawoods Grand Central Mall has created a giant – at 46ft X 24ft surface, the world’s largest — art mosaic to celebrate the 46th birthday of ‘The God Of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar, with attempts for the Guinness Book of World Records and India Book of Records.
News of the massive art mosaic has grown footfalls to the mall – after all, it features India’s most loved cricketer of all time, Sachin Tendulkar.
Tailoring materials like 1,00,000 buttons, 10,000 safety pins, 500 hangers, 4000 metres of chain zippers, and more than 50 measuring tapes were used to create the world’s largest surface art mosaic at 46ft X 24ft, with which SGC Mall and the artists aim to imprint their names in the India Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records.
The mall’s prediliction for cricket goes some way. It had earlier etched its name in the India Book of Records for having created the largest clay diya mosaic of Virat Kohli along with celebrated artist Abasaaheb.
The culmination of three creative teams who are also ardent Sachin fans – Umang Mehta, who came up with the vision and ideation in collaboration with Saish Kambli (Kambli Arts), Sachin Tendulkar’s fan Abhishek Nandkishor Satam, and his Rang Resha team alongside Chetan Raut spearheading the execution is depicted in the artwork.
Umang Mehta, a good friend of Sachin, has a contemporary bespoke design house and indo-fusion menswear label whose store is also set up on the same concept of tailoring tools. Many artworks using different objects are created by the team of artists known as Rang Resha.
