- The marketing excellence of 17 brands received high praise when they were conferred the The Advertising Club’s prestigious Marquees 2018 at a packed event in Mumbai. Five awards were handed over in the special category, and another 12 Sector awards, for excellence in eight sectors which had four sub-categories for FMCG and two for Auto.
The awards, in the second edition of the Marquees, saluted brands ‘that either created a space for themselves in a cluttered market or managed to positively shift perception that led to behavioural changes’, said an Ad Club release. This edition of the Marquees was ‘presented by Zee’ and ‘powered by Colors and Republic TV in partnership with One India’.
A distinguished jury headed by Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman & MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited & Executive Vice President, Unilever South Asia, and with CVL Srinivas, Country Manager, WPP India; Harsh Goenka, Chairman, RPG Enterprises; Agnello Dias, Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Taproot Dentsu; Naveen Chopra, Sr. Advisor, TPG Capital and Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom 18 picked the winners.

With the might of the Ad Club Mumbai behind it, Marquees has quickly — in just a year, actually, since this was its second edition — established itself as an important marketing award.
