Bolo Indya launches campaign against gender inequality – #HarGenderEkSamaan


Bolo Indya, India’s loved user-generated content platform, launches campaign against the rampant gender inequality – #HarGenderEkSamaan. The campaign aims to strengthen the vision of being an all-inclusive platform for every individual bias-free.

Bolo Indya’s campaign started on July 29, 2020, and to be run till August 30, 2020. The winner of the campaign shall also get prizes worth INR 25,000.

Though the campaign, Bolo Indya invites all the creative minds to share innovative creations in any language that they prefer. The platform has over 12 regional languages that the creator can create videos on.

With over 38 lakh Monthly Active Users and over 15 lakh videos being created on a daily basis on Bolo Indya, the platform believes that it is important to promote gender inclusivity when it comes to regional language digital content platforms, be it female, males or the LGBTQ community.

Bolo Indya was growing at over 22% month-on-months ever since its launch in May 2019, even when TikTok was there and has received an overwhelming response from various creators throughout the journey. Bolo Indya has been a preferred choice of over 150 Tiktok stars with over 2 million follower base for taking their content viral.

Platform strongly believes that LGBTQ community also has an amazing set of artists, talent and influencers and it is important to provide them a good share in voice as well.

Simultaneously, this shall help in enriching the diversity in views, opinions, and experiences which go on the platform, thus nurture the unity in diversity spirit of the country.

Bolo Indya today has over 29% of the overall userbase who are females and over 37% of content creators as females. Bolo Indya was the only short video platform which also encouraged its women content creators by launching the Black and White video campaign for women creators, in lines with the Black and White photo challenge going viral on social media these days.
