While the Smiley anti Viral Masks provide a high degree of protection equivalent to a N95 grade mask, what sets the masks apart is the social responsibility factor built into it. INR 10 from the retail packs and INR 50 from the institutional packs are being donated to KVN Foundation’s FeedMyCity initiative which has been provided 31 million plus meals to the underprivileged since lockdown and continues to do so.

The masks sport Smiley designs, a brand associated with happiness and the power of positivism for more than four decades.
Manufactured by Shivatex Indutries, an ISO certified company, the masks have a unique structural design to provide maximum protection, comfort and usability. The outer layer of the mask is polyester and the inner layer is soft cotton, with a filter inserted between the two layers. The filter is SITRA ( South India Textile Research Association)-certified PFE98.96% and BFE 99.35%, and is based on the same testing parameters as N95 and N99 masks.
A unique design feature is a nose bridge insert which keeps the masks away from the nostrils during inhalation, allowing for better air flow and eliminating the suffocation like feeling which other masks tend to have. Elastic bands that fasten around the head and tubular provide comfortable fitting.
The masks are washable up to 40 times and with filters that changes every 15 days, have a far higher usage period in comparison to the N95 and N99 masks which have a recommended use of not more than 10 times.
The multiple use and changeable filters also makes the Smiley masks the cost effective option available with a price of Rs 199 for the one mask plus two filters pack. Rs. 10 / mask is donated to FeedMyCity from the retail sales of the mask.
The masks are also available for institutional use and a special 2 mask 9 filter pack has been created for office and factorystaff.
The institutional pack is priced at INR 300 and INR 50 is donated to FeedMyCity from the sales of the institutional packs. Institutional orders can be placed through the website, which also provides updates of how the purchase linked donations are directly impacting the underprivileged communities and frontline personnel.
